Estonian IoT connectivity provider 1oT is acquiring Dutch competitor CheerIoT’s customer portfolio, significantly expanding its presence.

The acquisition will grow 1oT’s customer base by 50 companies whose SIMs are active in 52 countries, including in the EU, UK, and Southeast Asia.

The deal will grow 1oT’s customer base from 400 to 450, strengthening their position in the European market and demonstrating their resilience and growth during challenging economic times.

1oT provides IoT device manufacturers and service providers with eSIM cards that include the services of several telecoms. Their clients can choose between telecoms based on price or coverage without directly negotiating with multiple telecoms.

The acquired clients had originally bought SIM cards from CheerIoT, which have now been transferred to 1oT’s system. All those customers can benefit from what 1oT offers, including a state-of-the-art SIM management platform called 1oT Terminal, expert technical support, and a dedicated account manager. This personalized approach ensures the companies can optimize their connectivity solutions, achieve their operational goals globally, and keep growing with 1oT.

Märt Kroodo, founder & CEO at 1oT: “1oT has been growing steadily and organically every year since we were founded in 2016. Our goal is to be a technically and financially strong partner to our scaling IoT customers, and we’ve focused on building long-lasting relationships with them. I’m happy to welcome previous CheerIoT customers who can start enjoying our modern connectivity management platform and strong IoT offering.”

The acquired customers include companies that offer sensors to the food and pharmaceutical industry, asset and GPS tracking services, and point-of-sale terminals.

CheerIoT’s ex-CEO, Joachim de Wild: “We are pleased to hand over our customer base to 1oT, a company we believe is the perfect partner for our customers’ needs. With their modern tools, innovative connectivity management platform, and deep understanding of the growing IoT sector, we are confident that 1oT will provide our customers with exceptional solutions and support. We want to thank our customers for their trust and collaboration throughout our journey.”

1oT’s new customers will benefit from their comprehensive connectivity service and be able to scale worldwide without worrying about connectivity disruptions or changing the SIMs in their devices.
