Bybit, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has announced its sponsorship of the first-ever Ethereum Protocol “Attackathon.”
This event, organized by Immunefi in collaboration with the Ethereum Foundation, is aimed at improving the security of the Ethereum protocol while furthering public good initiatives within the Web3 space.
Bybit’s contribution of 75 ETH represents the largest single donation to date, further highlighting the company’s dedication to supporting the growth and security of the blockchain ecosystem.

Bybit expands WSOT 2024 with a record $10 million prize pool
Bybit’s contribution to fostering innovation goes beyond the Ethereum Attackathon.
The platform has also expanded the prize pool for the 2024 World Series of Trading (WSOT) to an unprecedented $10 million.
WSOT 2024 will be a major event for centralized and decentralized trading, offering participants a chance to “Ride the Best DEX and CEX Waves to Glory.”
This prize pool reflects Bybit’s ongoing efforts to empower Web3 builders and provide opportunities for developers to receive continued mentorship, resources, and support from key industry players.
Strengthening Ethereum security with the Attackathon
The Ethereum Protocol Attackathon will run for eight weeks and aims to enhance Ethereum’s security through a large-scale, crowdsourced security audit.
Hosted by Immunefi, the event will bring together top security minds within the Ethereum community to assess the protocol’s code.
Bybit’s contribution of 75 ETH is part of the larger reward pool, which, thanks to contributions from various industry leaders, including the Ethereum Foundation’s initial USD 500,000 seed, is expected to exceed USD 2 million
