The cryptocurrency market was in the green on Thursday as investors cheered the Federal Reserve’s comments at its latest policy meeting.
The crypto market surged on Wednesday after the Federal Reserve kept interest rates unchanged at 4.25% to 4.50%, with projections still pointing to two 50-basis-point cuts in 2025.
Bitcoin climbed above $85,000 for the first time since the tariffs took effect on March 4, leading a broader rally in altcoins.
Ethereum, Solana, and XRP gained in the high single digits on Thursday.
The global crypto market cap stands at $2.81 trillion, reflecting a 3.39% increase in the past day.
Over the last 24 hours, total crypto market volume surged 45.34% to $104.4 billion.
Bitcoin (BTC) price today
Bitcoin traded at $85,651.67, up around 3.23% in the past 24 hours.
The coin’s 24-hour trading range was between $82,930.50 and $87,443.
Bitcoin’s dominance is at 60.61%, up 0.05% from the previous day.
Bitcoin exchange-traded funds saw inflows of $512 million in the three days leading up to the Fed’s decision.
According to SoSoValue data, BTC ETFs recorded positive inflows for three consecutive trading days, reversing an extended selling trend.
Ethereum (ETH) price today
Ethereum (ETH) price bounced back above the $2,000-mark
The token was up over 4% to trade at $2,020.55.
The intraday low and high were $1,931.36 and $2,068.76, respectively.
In a blog post, the Ethereum Foundation (EF) announced that the Holesky testnet will be discontinued on September 30 due to “extensive inactivity leaks as part of its recovery mechanism.”
The newly launched Hoodi testnet, which went live on Monday, will serve as its replacement.
XRP and SOL price today
XRP price rose over 7.5%, trading at $2.46 after hitting an intraday low of $2.28 and a high of $2.57.
The optimism around the token surged after XRP surged after Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse stated that the US Securities and Exchange Commission is no longer pursuing its appeal in the case against the company on Wednesday.
It was the top gainers among the top 10 crypto currencies by market cap.
Solana (SOL) registered a 5.5% surge to $133.17 trading between $125.51 and $135.93 in the past 24 hours.
Volatility Shares LLC is set to introduce two exchange-traded funds (ETFs) focused on Solana futures. SOLZ for standard exposure and SOLT for leveraged exposure.
These ETFs mark the first of their kind for Solana futures, launching as the industry awaits SEC rulings on spot Solana ETFs.

Four (FORM) led the gainers with an 8.83% increase in the last 24 hours, bringing its price to $1.68.
Uniswap (UNI) followed with a 7.69% climb, now trading at $6.84.
Lido DAO (LDO) rose by 7.55% to $1.01, while XRP saw a 7.42% increase, reaching $2.46.
Hyperliquid (HYPE) also advanced by 7.32%, now valued at $14.92.
EOS (EOS) led the losers with a 6.80% decline in the last 24 hours, bringing its price down to $0.5864.
MANTRA (OM) followed with a 2.68% drop, now trading at $6.83.
Maker (MKR) slipped by 1.75% to $1,290.26, while Polkadot (DOT) declined by 1.63% to $4.45.
