Crypto prices on Feb 14: BTC hovers near $97K, XRP jumps 4%

The cryptocurrency market showcased a mix of gains and losses on February 14, with fluctuating price movements following the release of key US economic data.

While Bitcoin (BTC) managed to hover around the $97K level despite slight turbulence, Ethereum (ETH) hovered near $2,700.

The global cryptocurrency market cap stands at $3.21 trillion, reflecting a slight 0.22% decline over the past 24 hours.

The total trading volume for the market over the same period is $102.76 billion, marking a 19.85% decrease.

Market sentiment remained in the “fear” zone, according to the Crypto Fear & Greed Index.

Bitcoin (BTC) price today

Bitcoin (BTC) demonstrated resilience, recording only a marginal 0.1% dip to trade at $96,787.29.

The coin’s intraday low and high were $95,269.71 and $97,221.95, respectively.

Bitcoin’s market dominance has risen marginally by 0.04% to 59.86%.

BTC ETF continued to see outflows for the fourth straight day on Thursday, as per Farside data. BTC ETF registered outflows of around $156.8 million.

As per a CNBC report, GameStop has been mulling to invest in Bitcoin. The news saw shares of the meme stock surging in after-hours trading.

Ethereum (ETH) price today

Ethereum (ETH) saw a 0.68% decline over the past 24 hours, trading at $2,700.06.

The intraday low and high were $2,615.67 and $2,725.59.

Cryptocurrency analyst and trader Ali Martinez has suggested that Ethereum could see a “potential breakout” to $3,200 or even $4,000, provided the cryptocurrency maintains a strong support level above $2,600.

ETH ETFs have seen an inflow of around $12.8 million on Thursday, as per Farside data.

XRP and SOL price today

XRP emerged as one of the top gainers, increasing by 4.38% to trade at $2.58. It was the top gainer among the top gainer among the top 10 cryptocurrencies.

The coin’s daily low and high were $2.42 and $2.60, respectively.

The surge is attributed to renewed optimism within the Ripple community after the US SEC acknowledged Grayscale’s 19b-4 filing for an XRP ETF.

Solana (SOL) recorded a marginal 0.5% decline, trading at $195.79. Its intraday low and high were $189.43 and $197.31.

The price movement comes amid reports of significant sell-offs, including a $28 million dump by Pump Fun, contributing to ongoing price turbulence.

Top crypto gainers and losers

OFFICIAL TRUMP (TRUMP) leads the top gainers with a 6.47% increase in the last 24 hours, now trading at $16.52.

Helium (HNT) follows with a 5.60% rise, reaching $3.92. Kaspa (KAS) has climbed 5.59%, now valued at $0.103.

Jupiter (JUP) saw a 5.37% gain, trading at $0.8949, while Hyperliquid (HYPE) rounds out the list with a 4.92% increase, priced at $26.39.

PancakeSwap (CAKE) leads the decliners with a 10.87% drop in the last 24 hours, now trading at $2.72.

Onyxcoin (XCN), on the other hand, saw an 8.22% increase, reaching $0.0231.

Virtuals Protocol (VIRTUAL) gained 4.63%, now valued at $1.29, while Bittensor (TAO) rose by 4.49%, trading at $380.05.

BNB experienced a 4.11% decline, currently priced at $679.97.

Broader crypto price action

BNB has decreased by 4.37% over the past day, reaching a price of $679.52.

KuCoin Token (KCS) has experienced a slight decline of 0.45% in the last 24 hours and is currently valued at $12.20.

FTX Token (FTT) has also decreased, with a 2.49% drop over the past day, resulting in a price of $1.98.

BitMart Token (BMX) has increased by 2.44% in the last 24 hours, reaching a price of $0.3095.

OX Coin (OX) has seen a 2.70% decrease over the past day, trading at $0.01646.

Celsius (CEL) has increased by 0.65% in the last 24 hours, reaching a price of $0.1456.

Bybit Staked SOL (BBSOL) has shown a negligible change of -0.40% over the past day and is currently valued at $207.19.
