The Pacific Palisades Fire ignited on Tuesday morning and quickly spread at an alarming rate, consuming entire neighborhoods and infrastructure in its path.
The fire advanced at an incredible speed of five football fields per minute, a rate that made containment nearly impossible.
The situation worsened when the Hurst Fire in Sylmar and the Eaton Fire near Altadena also broke out, further complicating firefighting efforts.
Authorities have been forced to issue evacuation orders across multiple areas, with over 30,000 people fleeing the affected zones.
The evacuation zones, which include areas such as La Canada, Malibu, and Sepulveda Basin, have been mapped out in the LA fire evacuation zone map.
Evacuees have faced heavy traffic and chaos, with some abandoning their vehicles to seek shelter on the beach.
As of Wednesday morning, more than 200,000 homes and buildings across Los Angeles County are without power due to the wildfires.
Palisades Fire
The combination of strong winds and low humidity in the Palisades fire has led to further escalation, with gusts of up to 100 mph reported in higher elevations.
The Santa Ana winds are expected to continue, heightening concerns that the fire could spread even further into residential areas, including the highly populated Pacific Palisades and Malibu, CA regions.

According to Los Angeles County Fire Chief Anthony C. Marrone, the Eaton Fire has killed two individuals and remains a major concern for officials.
The Hurst Fire, which started near Yarnell in the San Fernando Valley, spread quickly after igniting and has already engulfed 500 acres.
Evacuation orders have been issued for several additional zones, including areas in the northern parts of the San Fernando Valley.
The resource-strained Los Angeles Fire Department faces significant challenges in combating the fires.
Los Angeles’ water supply could be running low
Early reports indicated that the city’s water supply could be running low, with some areas, including the Palisades, reportedly facing water shortages that are hindering firefighting efforts.
Some locals expressed frustration, saying that the lack of water in hydrants is a major obstacle to controlling the blaze.
